If I need to leave the game to purchase books and then spend hours to read them just to understand why Yen is supposed to be with geralt well then CDPR failed.
Not saying they are bad (I didn't read them) but the games should stand on their own not rely on the novels to tell their story. I have never seen her before and yet she acts entitled to be with Geralt.When she is presented in Witcher 3 as geralt supposed "true love", as Adam Smasher says in Cyberpunk edgerunners, I told one thing "WHO THE F¨CK ARE YOU?".Īnd before someone tells me "yEaH bUt In ThE bOoKs." let me stop you right now, I don't care about the books. She orders Geralt around and refuse to communicate on her plans and we are supposed to simply suck it up and accept it. She is well written but I don't want Geralt to end up with her, as for all I have seen the relationship is incredibly toxic. I would never choose Yennefer, she is not badly written but I cannot stand her attitudes. I completely disagree that Triss romance has shallow dialogues, that'S totally false. So, question, what exactly is the point of picking Triss, when Triss is weaker dialogue, less content, and intimacy, while Yen is 4x more content, deeper dialogue (especially from Geralt) and even marries Geralt by the end? Yen even shows up randomly when Geralt gets drunk with Eskel and Lambert. Then very shallow (cheesy) dialogue other than, “I love you.” While Triss it’s only 1 intimate scene, a hug, no wedding, and one short questions. Yen has like 3 intimate scenes with Geralt, outside of flirtatious scenes. Which completely I guess makes sense since canonically it’s always been Yen and Yen only (seriously) for Geralt.

With Yen, it’s a way longer quest line in general, more cutscenes plus an additional quest line to help her find the Dijinn.Īdditionally, the dialogue with Yen is more intimate, and deeper compared to Triss. I don’t really care about the Yen vs Triss debate, but one motivating factor in choosing Yen, is that she has more content? With Triss, she has that short quest line, and then you don’t see her till later.
